The Horseshoe Crab Tail Ornament is made from the molding and casting of a real found telson or tail, of a limulus polyphemus molt in recycled metal. I collected the original shed specimen on a beach in Cape May NJ.
Strung on a 4" navy blue, satin ribbon and accented with an 8mm freshwater pearl. The telson is 2-1/2" long.
This design is currently available in solid polished sterling silver or bronze but other metals, and finishes are always possible, message me for custom options and a quote.
All cast ornaments are waxed for preservation and packed in a giftable ornament box. These heirlooms can be altered into a wearable piece of jewelry by your favorite jeweler after the season is done.
