The Heart of the Sea Charm measures 3/4” long by 3/4” wide and is strung on a 16", 18" or 20" sterling silver chain. At this time the charm is available with or without stone, with choices of either a Deep Blue Sapphire, Green/Blue Montana Sapphire (American Mined), Light Blue Topaz, Red Garnet, Pink Ruby, Purple Amethyst, or Diamond. The Heart of the Sea Pendant is the perfect gift for your favorite mermaid for Valentine’s Day, your Anniversary or her Birthday! Made from the molding and casting of a Moon Snail shell fragment in recycled sterling silver. I collected the original empty shell on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. Once the casting is returned, I solder on jump rings and it then is strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice. The charm is only 1" long and 1/2" wide, including bail.
A Moon Snail or Shark Eye shell is a very common find along the shores of the Atlantic. This shell is the home of a large predatory sea snail which has a fossil record of about 23 million years.
