The Oyster Shell Threader Earrings are made from the molding and casting of a real "oyster seed" in solid recycled silver. I collected the original specimen from an oyster farm in Tuckerton NJ and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. Once the castings are returned, I drill hole and attach the sterling threader chains. Finally they are cleaned up and hand polished with care.
These are very lightweight earrings are 3.25" long, 1/2" wide and completely adjustable.
This design is currently available in solid sterling silver in polished or oxidized finishes, but other metals and finishes are always available, message me for custom options and a quote. All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity.
