The Oyster Drill Necklace is made from the molding and casting of a real found Atlantic Oyster Drill shell in recycled silver. I collected the original empty snail shell on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then cast it in recycled silver. It is strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice.
The Oyster Drill charm is only 1" long and 1/2" wide including bail. This design is currently available in solid polished or oxidized sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always available, message me for custom options and a quote.
All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity. This item is usually always available but please allow 2-3 weeks to complete if not. Email me if you need your piece by a certain date. Rush orders may be subject to additional costs.
Oyster Drills are known to eat oysters and mussels, the prey gives off a scent that the drill is able to track down. It then uses its proboscis to drill into the outer shell of the bi-valve and suck up the soft tissues.
