A Cape May Diamond is a natural quartz crystal deposit that has travelled all the way down the Delaware River and washed up on the beaches of Cape May. No one knows the origin of these gems, as they may be coming from an underwater cave in Northern New Jersey or New York. Centuries ago, these crystals were used in both trade and ceremony by the first people of the Delaware River Basin. It is a joy to find them on New Jersey Beaches.

A Small stone is between 5mm and 7mm on its longest edge.
A Medium stone is between 7.5mm and 9.5mm on its longest edge.
A Large stone is between 10mm and 12mm on its longest edge.
