oliva sayana - Lettered Olive
The lettered olive is a carnivorous sea snail, it feeds on small mollusks and will drag its prey underneath the sand to devour it. When alive, the shell is super shiny due to the snails' thick mucus. When the snail dies, the sheen wears away rapidly from tumbling in the seas. The olive shell is the state shell of South Carolina and the birth shell for March.
Made from the molding and casting of a real found seashell in recycled silver. This shell was found by a lovely friend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The large charm is only 1.5" long and 1/2" wide and it is strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice. A smaller-sized olive is also available.
This design is currently available in solid polished or oxidized sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always available, email me for custom options and a quote.
All HKM Jewelry pieces are made to order and are properly hallmarked for metal type and authenticity.
