This Lucky Bone Necklace is made from the molding and casting of real found Horseshoe Crab Claw in recycled silver or bronze. I collected the Claw from an adult male crab that had died on the Fishermen's Memorial Beach in Cape May, New Jersey. I then had a mold made and castings of solid metal. Each claw casting is cleaned and hand polished with care and strung on a leather cord. The pendant itself measures 1/2” wide and 1-1/4” long and is strung on a leather cord of your choice in length from 18", 20" or 24" with a silver lobster clasp.
The legend of the Lucky Bone is that a long time ago fishermen would carry a horseshoe crab claw as a good luck charm for safe passage and plentiful bounty while out on their long voyages at sea. Perhaps this is why fishermen are known to be stinky fellows!
This design is stink-free and currently available in either oxidized or polished, solid sterling silver or bronze, but other metals are always available, message me for custom options and a quote. All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity.
