These Moon Snail Stud Earrings are made from the molding and casting of real found Moon Snail shells in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shells on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent them to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. Once the castings are returned, I solder on the silver ear post and flush set little blue topaz stones in the center. Finally they are cleaned up and hand polished with care. Each stud comes with a 'biggie' butterfly back ear nut for its post, measuring 10mm.
The Moon Snail shells are only 10mm long and wide. This design is currently available in solid sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always available, message me for custom options and a quote.
