Conus anabathrum - Florida Cone
The Cone Snail is a small but mighty, shallow water mollusk that carries a strong venom to stun or kill its prey. Conotoxins are the compounds in cone snail venom which are being studied in the medical field for pain blocking. They have been found to be a hundred times more effective than morphine in pain relief, and currently, there are many medications on the market that use these conotoxins with non addictive results.
The Florida Cone Necklace is made from the molding and casting of a real found Cone Snail shell in recycled silver. My friend gave me this shell collected in Dania Beach Florida, to be molded and cast in solid silver. Once the casting created, I solder on jump rings and it is then strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice.
The charm is only 1" long and 3/8th" wide including bail. This design is currently available in polished or oxidized sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always possible, message me for custom options and a quote.
