The Bay Scallop Shell Necklace is made from the molding and casting of a real found scallop shell in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shell on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. The Scallop is the birth shell for November.
Once the casting is returned, I solder on jump rings and the piece is cleaned up and hand polished with care to be strung on a 16”, 18” or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice.
The Small Scallop charm is only 3/4“ long including bail and 1/2" wide. The Large Scallop charm is 1” long and 3/4” wide.
This design is currently available in solid Oxidized or Polished sterling silver but other metals are always available, message me for custom options and a quote. All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity.
