The Shipwreck Shard Ornament is made from the molding and casting of a real found 18th century pottery shard in recycled metal. The original was collected by a dear friend on a beach near Lewes, DE, and it is believed to be from the famous Severn Shipwreck of 1774.
Strung on a 4" navy blue, satin ribbon and accented with an 8mm freshwater pearl. The shard is 1.5" long and 1.25” wide.
This design is currently available in solid polished bronze but other metals, and finishes are always possible, message me for custom options and a quote.
All cast ornaments are waxed for preservation and packed in a giftable ornament box. These heirlooms can be altered into a wearable piece of jewelry by your favorite jeweler after the season is done.
