chicoreus florifer - Lace Murex
The lace murex snail is a gastropod mollusk that can be found up and down the barrier islands of Florida and is a highly sought-after shell for most collectors. When young, the shell is bright pink, with less "lace" and then transitions to brown and white as it grows its spiney sculpture.
Made from the molding and casting of a real murex seashell in recycled silver. This shell was found by a lovely friend in Marco Island, Florida. I molded and cast it for her custom and then added this design to my collection, the shell was then returned to her.
The charm is only 1.25" long and 1/2" wide including bail, and it is strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice.
This design is currently available in solid polished or oxidized sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always available, email me for custom options and a quote.
All HKM Jewelry pieces are made to order and are properly hallmarked for metal type and authenticity.
