The Mussel Pearl Necklace is made from the molding and casting of a real found New Jersey Mussel Shell in recycled silver. The center freshwater pearl is bright white with great luster. Did you know, all bivalves create pearls? Even some mollusks like sea snails and conchs create them too!
I collected the original empty shell on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent it to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. Once the casting is returned, I solder on jump rings and it then is strung on a 16”, 18”, or 20” sterling silver cable chain of your choice. The charm is only 1" long and 1/2" wide, including bail.
This design is currently available in oxidized sterling silver but other metals and finishes are always available, message me for custom options and a quote. All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity.
