These Scallop Shell Dangle Earrings are made from the molding and casting of real found scallop shells in recycled silver. I collected the original empty mollusk shells on a beach in Cape May, New Jersey and then sent them to a local, family owned casting company to be cast in multiples of solid metal. The scallop is the birth shell for November.
Once the castings are returned, I solder on jump rings and forged french hooks. Finally they are cleaned up and hand polished with care.
The Small Scallop earrings are only 1" long including hook and 1/2" wide. The Large Scallops Earrings are 1 1/4” long and 3/4” wide.
This design is currently available in solid sterling silver in polished or oxidized finishes, but other metals and finishes are always available, message me for custom options and a quote. All HKM Jewelry pieces are properly hallmarked for metal type and stamped for authenticity.
